Volker Zitt is the managing director of Atuforma and has been a huge car fan and sports car enthusiast since childhood. For his current favorite, an Aston Martin DB9, Volker was looking for suitable tire protectors to counteract the annoying problem of flat spots.

His personal passion for cars and his deep understanding of the needs of vehicle owners motivated him to develop the Flexigel tire protectors and manufacture them to the highest standard.

Origin story

What's good for people can only be better for their cars.

Every car enthusiast knows this situation all too well: A glorious summer day is drawing to a close, work is done, and the longing for a relaxing drive in your favorite car grows.

Quickly get in the car, open the convertible top, and off you go. But often, those annoying flat spots on the tires dampen the enthusiasm. A real killer on the driving fun!

This prompted Volker to search for a suitable solution and test numerous tire protectors to prevent flat spots. However, none of these options met his expectations.

Thanks to his many years of experience as owner of Atuforma GmbH, which specializes in the processing of PU gel in the medical technology and military sectors, Volker knew exactly what he was looking for.
