Finding the right size
1. Determine the tire width
We offer two sizes:
SC – Sportcar suitable for tire widths up to 345 mm
O – Classic car tires suitable for tire widths up to 245 mm
You can easily find your car's tire width using the information printed on the tires themselves. Numbers and letters are printed on the sidewall of each tire, providing important information about the tire. The tire width is given in millimeters and is usually found in the following format:
XXX/XXRXX
Here's an explanation of how to read the tire width:
- Look for the numbers that come first (XXX). This is the tire width in millimeters. This number indicates how wide the tire is from sidewall to sidewall.
- The numbers after the slash (/) represent the aspect ratio. This value indicates the ratio of the tire sidewall height to the tire width. For example, it could be 55, 60, 65, etc.
- Finally, you'll find the letters "R" followed by numbers at the end (XXRXX). These numbers indicate the diameter in inches of the rim on which the tire is mounted.
The tire width is indicated by the first numbers before the slash in the tire marking. For example, if you see "205/55R16" on your tire, it means the tire width is 205 millimeters.
2. Find out the vehicle weight:
A) Vehicle documents: In most countries, vehicle documents, such as the vehicle registration certificate, are the most important source of information about your car, including its weight. The vehicle's weight will be stated on these documents.
B) Manufacturer's specifications: You can also consult the manufacturer's specifications. This information is usually found in your vehicle manual or on the manufacturer's official website. It should list the vehicle's weight and, if applicable, its maximum permissible weight.
